Tuber Shipping & Pick Up

Hello flower friends!

Here's a quick update on dahlia tuber shipping and farm pick up.

We begin processing orders in April. We were really hoping to squeeze some in the last weekend of March, but the weather in Minnesota just wasn't cooperating. We don't want your tubers to turn to mush from freezing, so we prefer to err on the side of caution and wait for warmer temps.

Our plan is to pack orders on the weekends and put them in the mail on Mondays. We'll begin shipping to the southernmost states/warmest zones and work our way northward until all orders have been shipped. With the goal of being finished before the end of April.

Local pick up will be at our farmstand in Medford towards the end of April. This will also be weather dependent. We’ll send another email to all of the local pick up folks, to let you know exact dates/times once we get that figured out. The tubers get planted out after the danger of frost has passed, typically mid May here in zone 4, so we have plenty of time yet. If you like starting your tubers early and indoors, just send me an email and I can arrange an earlier pick up date for you. :)

If I missed anything, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Thank you for supporting our little flower farm in the city! I can't even begin to express how much your support means to us!

💛 Birdy & the whole Fitz fam :)
